Troubleshooting

Why does the Button butler continue to page me?

The Button Butler factory default is set to alert the pager 3 times when the 'Service' button is pressed.

To stop the paging:

Hold the end of the pager with the buttons on it in front of the first "E" on the SERVICE label. You will hear a 'beep' indicating that paging has stopped.

If you do not wish to have this re-page feature, you must reprogram the Button Butler. Refer to the 'Enable Re-paging' section in the online User Guide.

My pager is vibrating but I did not press the Service Button. Why?

There may be other LRS systems in use within your geographical area. In this case, interference may occur.

You will need to change your System ID. Refer to the 'System ID' section in the online User Guide.

I recently installed batteries and it is paging me that the Button Butler battery is low. Why?

Make sure that you are using alkaline batteries. If you are using alkaline batteries, contact LRS, it may be a technical issue.

When I push the service button, the pager does not vibrate or display a message?

Make sure that the pager is turned ON.

The Button Butler and pager may be on different System IDs. Refer to the 'Button Setup' and 'Programming Pagers' sections in the online programming guide.

Check to see that batteries are installed in the pager. The battery may be low. Remove the battery from the pager and replace it.
